About Mike Mentzer

Mike Mentzer was an IFBB professional bodybuilder. He was also a good businessman, author and philosopher. He left his studies after spending three years in the university. He wanted to became psychiatrist. At the age of 12 when he was only 43 kg he started bodybuilding. Form the very start of his teen age he was so inspired by the men appeared on different magazines so by seeing this his father bought him pair of dumbbells. At the of 15 his weight reached to 75 kg and at that time he can lift a heavy weight which was 170 kg on bench press, the weight some of elder bodybuilders still not able to lift Mike lifted at the age of 15. Bill Pearl was a hero and idol of Mike in bodybuilding sport. Mike always wanted to look like him. Mike served 4 years in U.S Air force after his graduation. He started competing in local competitions when he was 18 years old. In 1979 he won Mr Olympia in heavy weight class but defeated in overall category by Frank Zane. In the year 2002 Mike was inducted in IFBB Hall Of Fame.

About Earl Maynard

As by reading the title of the post one can think that this man also done something besides bodybuilding. Earl born in Barbados, he is a professional bodybuilder, wrestler, actor, director and producer. He is one of the very few people who done in different fields along side Arnold. Earl won the Mr Universe title in 1964. He won almost all of his participated competitions or came in top three. Even in his one and only participated Mr Olympia competition in 1965 he came to 3rd place. Some of the critics thought that if he was competed more in Mr Olympia competition he may won the title. He had the most impressive physique of all time. He also done very much for the professional wrestling after started it in the year 1960. During his wining in the professional bodybuilding he carry on with wrestling. He is also done some of the movies as an actor. Also he is well known as the producer and director.

About Mike Matarazzo

Mike Matarazzo was an American IFBB professional bodybuilder who died due to heart attack in August 2014. Before moving to California for his bodybuilding career he lived in Boston. Before moving to bodybuilding he was a boxer. His first Mr Olympia appearance was in 1991 and his best placing in Mr Olympia competition was on 9th position in the year 1998. It is unbelievable that he never came above 9th place in Mr Olympia because his nick name was 'Big Guns' and it is because of his huge arms and calves. He came into the category of bodybuilders who poses some of the huge arms in the history of sport. On 8th December 2004 he was forced to retired from bodybuilding because of his open heart surgery. The day on which he died he was waiting for the heart transplant but never made it after heart attack. His wife confirmed his death on social media Facebook.

Steve Kuclo is an American professional bodybuilder. He weighted 260 to 265 lbs during the contests but his off season weight rises up to 280 lbs. He was born in Detroit, Michigan. During the early age he played football, baseball and hockey. After completion of his graduation he studied two years of Automotive Engineer from University of Michigan. His wife is also IFBB bikini pro named as Amanda Latona. They married on 7th February, 2015. Besides competing in bodybuilding he also works as paramedic and firefighter in Dallas, Texas. He also appeared in different magazines and bodybuilding articles. He done a documentary named as ' The Future Of Bodybuilding' in 2011. By seeing his physique one can say that he is really the future of bodybuilding.

About Michael Kefalianos

Michael Kefalianos is an IFBB professional bodybuilder still competing in contest. He is a Greek bodybuilder and considered to be the best Greek bodybuilder of all time. HE came to 4th place in 2009 Australian Pro Grand Prix because of which he qualify for the Mr Olympia contest, not only that he is also the first Greek person to qualify for the Mr Olympia competition. His best win was Mr. Europe Pro in 2012 which was held in Spain. He earned his pro card in 2008 by wining the International North German Championship. His first Mr Olympia was in 2009 where he finishes 16th. In 2010 Mr Olympia he did not place. His first Arnold Classic was in 2012 where he came to 9th place. In 2012 at Australian Grand Prix he came to 2nd after Branch Warren and qualified for the 3rd time to compete in Mr Olympia competition.

About Mike Katz

Mike Katz is a former football player and IFBB professional bodybuilder. He is well known for his appearance in the documentary 'Pumping Iron' with the great Arnold Schwarzenegger. Mike done his graduation in the year 1966. While in his training period he also worked as a high school gym teacher. In 1975 Mr Universe competition he placed 4th but still not wanted to gave up and returned to Mr Olympia in 1976 with very improved body which helped him to came on 2nd place which boost up his confidence and people also admire the hard work. He also done very good on football field. He played form New York Jets from which he retired because of his leg injury in 1968.

And because of his excessive diet plan he came to third place in that show. In the year 2005 at USA Bodybuilding & Figure Championship he earned his IFBB pro card by wining in super heavy weight category. He placed 5th in 2007 Iron man Pro which helped him to compete in Mr Olympia. In the same year he also won 'Best Poser' award at Arnold Classic.

Rich Gaspari was an American IFBB professional bodybuilder. He is the old gun, retired in 1990's. He was also the part of Hall Of Fame in 2004. He never won the Mr Olympia title. His best placing in Mr Olympia was on 2nd place. He came to 2nd position 3 times in a row from 1986 to 1988. He owns his supplement brands also available on his websites named as Gaspari Nutrition. He appeared in many magazines and bodybuilding articles. In 2011 he once again after 23 years of gap appeared on magazine's cover. He was also awarded with the award of Muscle Beach Hall Of Fame in 2011 by actor Ryan Phillippe and boxer Shane Mosley. In the year 2014 his book '51 Days No Excuses' was published. In this book he showed how to transform the body in 51 days by working out, changing diet, overcome personal mind disturbing obstacles etc.

About Toney Freeman

Toney Freeman is an American IFBB professional bodybuilder. His nick name is ' The X-Man' because of his X shape body frame just like the classical bodybuilders including wide shoulders, narrow waist and huge thighs. He has been featured on different magazines including Flex. His competitive career started after he got to 30 years of age. Lee Haney and Dorian Yates are his idols. It took many years to fill his large frame and his first ever NPC contest was came into 1993 where he came to 1st place in heavy weight class. His best placing in Mr Olympia competition was on 5th place in the year 2008. In the year 2010 he was taken by police in Sweden during promotional event of a store. He forced to give his urine sample which was to be tested for steroids. But he came clean and released on the same day. He then became the first professional bodybuilder to detained by Swedish police under 'muscle profiling'.

About Erik Fankhouser

Erik Fankhouser also known as 'The House' is one of very few professional bodybuilder who retired very early in their career. Though it is not officially announced that Erik is retired from professional bodybuilding but it is obvious that he is not competing any more in the bodybuilding contests because after 2010 he never competed in any of bodybuilding competition. Erik begun training in his student life. First his focus is on playing in school's football team. He also took participation in other sports in school then finally he turned to bodybuilding and choose it as a career. He won his first ever competition in 2004 which was NPC in junior division. He also won Mr West Virginia title in 2005. In the year 2006 at North American Championships he took 4th place which was his first national competition. In 2008 by wining USA Bodybuilding & Figure Championships he earned his IFBB professional card. He then started competing in IFBB pro competitions. His one and only appearance in Mr Olympia in 2010 gave him 18th spot. Now a days he works as a exercise physiologist at Wheeling Hospital.

Dave Draper was an American professional bodybuilder. He competed in 60's and 70's. He is also known as 'The Blond Bomber' which is the nick name of him. He was born in New Jersey. He was only 10 years of old when he began weight lifting. At the age of 12 he has well routine of training. At that time he took part in wrestling, swimming and other sports in high school. He won Mr Jersey title at the age of 21. He only competed in Mr Olympia competition once in the year 1967 where he finished 4th. He also done some of the movies and appeared on Television on different occasion. 'The Dungeon' is the gym in California where he initially trained. And later on he started training in Gold's Gym with training partners including the great Arnold Schwarzenegger, Frank Zane and Franco Columbu. He got the one of the most best physique in the bodybuilding history with a vacuum in his stomach and upper body muscle.

About Premchand Degra

Premchand is an Indian IFBB professional bodybuilder who won different competitions. He is one of the very few men from India who participated in Mr Olympia competition. He is also the first ever Mr Universe from India. He won Mr Universe title in 1988 in 80 kg category. He also holds the award form IFBB in 2003 which was 'Achievement Medals'. In the year 1990 he was awarded with 'Padma Shri' by Indian Government. In 1980 Premchand took interest in bodybuilding before that he was a sportsman and took part in wrestling. He won many bodybuilding competition in India including Mr Punjab, Mr North India and Mr India 9 times in a row. He also won the Mr Asia title which helped him to entered in international competition competitions.His only Mr Olympia appearance was in 1989 where he finished on 16th place. He won the Asian Amateur Championships 6 times in different category.

Paul Demayo was an American IFBB professional bodybuilder. He was known as 'Quadzilla' for his huge size of his quads, probably the biggest ever by a bodybuilder in the history. He was born in California, America. His first ever NPC (National Physique Committee) competition was held in 1988 where he managed 7th place. He started training when he was in teenage. He participated in only one Mr Olympia where he finished 12th place in 1995. He won NPC contest in 1994. He also featured in many magazines and bodybuilding articles. He was a great bodybuilder of all time the bad habit in him was that he took heroine which was also the cause of his death. He died on 2nd June in 2005 due to the over dose of heroine. He started taking heroine when his wife left him and he then suffered mentally very much at that time.

Chris Cormier is an American IFBB professional bodybuilder. He not announced his retirement but after 2007 he never competed again and by looking at his recent picture one can say that bro do you even lift.


The guy on the right is Chris Cormier and you can see it is obvious that he stop taking part in competitions. Chris first ever Mr Olympia competition was in 1994 where he came to 6th place. And his first Arnold Classic was also came in the same year where he manged 4th place. He has been featured in many magazines and bodybuilding articles. He won different competitions but never won the Mr Olympia title. His best placing in the Mr Olympia contest was in 1999 and 2002 when he came to 3rd place. He was also appeared on the cover of Muscular Development magazines. In July 2006 he became ill due to infected spine. He after recovery made a great comeback in bodybuilding competitions but unable to continue and stop competing.

Bob Cicherillo is an American IFBB professional bodybuilder and winner of many competitions. He is well known as the host of Mr Olympia competition. He started training at the age of 12 and in his first contest when he only 13 years old. After the hard work and dedication of 13 years he finally earns his pro card in 2000. His first pro competition was back in 1981 where he came to 4th place which was Natural America (teen tall). North American Championships was his first IFBB competition where he again came to 4th place. He is also a co-host in a radio show of Professional Bodybuilding Weekly. He was first affiliated with bodybuilding.com but left it and joined BSN recently. He was selected for the 2006 Mr Olympia competition but elected not to take part in it as competitor rather as a host of different events of Mr Olympia competitions. He has been featured in many magazines and bodybuilding articles and also appeared on television once. He is a regular contributor to a bodybuilding website. He also done a movie, music video and a commercial for ESPN.

About Andreas Munzer

Andreas Munzer was an Australian professional bodybuilder. He was well known for his amazingly low body fat. He appeared in many magazines including twice in Flex and one time in Muscle Magazine. As Arnold Schwarzenegger is the inspiration to many bodybuilders in the world so Andreas was one of them. His dream to meet his legend was completed in 1996 at Arnold Classic. For this competition he uses heavy dose of steroids which eventually leads him to death in the same year. When he was suffered from a very dreadful pain of stomach doctors decided to immediately operate him to stop bleeding from his stomach. During this process his liver and kidney failed and his condition became more critical to operate. And he died next morning. Some of the doctors also thinks that his very low body fat may causes his death very early. He weighted 108 kg with the arm size of 21'' and 58'' of chest.

And he won that championship named as Saudi Arabia & Kuwait Bodybuilding Championships (heavy/super-heavyweight). He was awarded gold in this contest. He is the member of Kuwait National team athlete and International Federation of Bodybuilding & Fitness. His second competition was in the same year of 2012 which was Police Bodybuilding Championships Qatar where he finishes on 2nd place. His biceps' size is more than 50 cm. His son name is Muhammad. He competed in Mr Olympia in the amateur category but never competed for the big one. Without a doubt he is one of the favorites for winning the Mr Olympia title in future.

Mohammed Benaziza was a professional bodybuilder who died in 1992. He achieved very much in his bodybuilding career. He won different titles including Grand Prix Spain and many others. When he was a kid he often play soccer. And because of soccer he started working out to be fit and strong. After few years he turned himself totally towards bodybuilding. And his first ever professional bodybuilding competition was Amateur in France. In the year 1992 he take part in Mr Olympia competition where he managed 5th place. The same year he participated back to back in the contests without any break and on 4th of October he found dead in his hotel room.

Melvin is an IFBB professional bodybuilder who grew up in a middle class family. He started lifting weights when he was just a teenager. At the age of 18 his body was enough mature to get him football scholarship. After he hurt his knee in college he started taking part in bodybuilding competitions. Muscle mania 1993 was the first major contest of Melvin where he came to 3rd place. His first NPC (National Physique Committee) competition held in 1995 where he won in heavy weight category. He is an IFBB professional bodybuilder. At the initial stage of his life he was a good baseball player in the school and even in the high school. About Flex Wheeler

Every body is familiar with the name Flex Wheeler, an impressive retired IFBB professional bodybuilder. He made his mark when ever he stood on any competition stage. He did not win Mr Olympia competition but came to 2nd place on three different occasions. His greatness was described by the greatest Arnold Schwarzenegger that '' he is one of the best bodybuilder i have ever seen''. 8 times Mr Olympia winner Ronnie Coleman said that '' Flex Wheeler was the best bodybuilder against whom he competed".


Flex Wheeler grew up in a very poor family in California. His child hood was not good to be remembered as he suffered from child abuse and suicidal tendencies. He was never good at studies but excellent in sports. After discovering about weight lifting he started bodybuilding when he was a teenager. Flex was first a martial artist then a bodybuilder as it was said by himself. Before coming totally to bodybuilding he serve as a Police Officer. His first competition was in 1983 but he had to wait till 6 years to registered his first win in 1989 at NPC Mr California Championships. He went back to martial arts after taking retirement from professional bodybuilding sport. In 2003 he went under a kidney transplant.
