About Samir Bannout

Samir at the early stage of his life not interested in the field of bodybuilding. He was not allowed to leave the house alone but his parents gave him the permission to go to see his brother lifting weights. In his mind he never felt good about lifting weights and smelly gym. But when he visits the gym where his brother trains he get impressed by seeing the different sections for boxing, weight lifting and bodybuilding etc. He then saw a man lifting heavy weights and a huge muscle maturity. Because Samir is round about 100 pounds at that time so he inspired by the man very much and thinks to have a muscle is very important for the person skinny like me. From there on he decided to lift weights and to look huge. IFFB World Amateur Championships is his first competition, where he won and get the status of IFFB Pro. In the year 1982 Samir managed to get 4th place in the Mr Olympia competition. But in 1983 Mr Olympia competition he grabs the trophy and become 7th man to win the Mr Olympia title.

Chris Dickerson is the Mr Olympia winner of the year 1982. This was the year when Frank Zane ( Mr Olympia 1977-1979) is also competing for his comeback but failed to win the title and eventually title goes do Chris Dickerson. Chris compete in the bodybuilding for  about 30 years. He has the symmetrical physique with heavy muscle. He also known for his posing skills. He poses uniquely and with a ease. In 1965 Chris participated in his first ever bodybuilding competition which is Mr Long Beach competition. Where he finished 3rd. In the year 1980 he trained with Mr Universe Bill Pearl for the competitions.

Frank Zane was the student of Wilkes University and done his Bachelors of science from there in 1964. He taught mathematics and chemistry for 13 years. Due to the degree of Bachelors of science he was given nick name 'The Chemist'. He takes his master's degree from Cal States in Experimental Psychology in 1990.

The above information shows you that during the years of winning bodybuilding competition he also carry on to his studies. Frank Zane is the winner of Mr Olympia competition 3 times in a row that is 1977 to 1979. After Franco Columbu wins his first title in 1976 the consecutive 3 years belong to Frank Zane before the come back of Arnold in 1980. According to him 1980 Mr Olympia's result was a controversial one like it has always been but his boycott in 1981 Mr Olympia did not make any difference to the officials of the competition.

Franco Columbu is a well known professional bodybuilder born in Italy. He started his career with boxing. Later on he done power lifting, weightlifting and then bodybuilding. He done so much for the sport. He was training partner and a good friend of Arnold. He was also the best man at Arnold's wedding. In the bodybuilding career his best win was 1976 and 1981 Mr Olympia. Franco with a height of 5.35 ft is a very short bodybuilder than the most of athlete. Franco also known as 'Sardinian Strongman' was also done some acting and production in the entertainment business. He is best known in entertainment business for:

About Sergio Oliva

Sergio Oliva was a bodybuilder by profession and known as 'The Myth'. He born in Cuba in 1941. At the age of 12 he worked with his father in sugar cane field. Due to the absence of birth certificate Sergio failed to be selected in army as per his father's wish. Then he started training in the local gym, where in just 6 months he shows some very impressive signs by achieving weight of 195 lb. In 1962 Sergio Oliva took 2nd place in National Weightlifting Championships for Cuba. He then selected to represent Cuba in Central American and Caribbean games in 1962. During his stay in Jamaica he escaped from there followed by 65 other Cuban national and reached to American Consulate. After then Sergio started living in Miami, Florida and work as the T.V repairman. After moving to Chicago in 1963 he started working in a steel mill. He works 12 hour a day and then he goes to gym where he manage 2 to 3 hour workout. After this devastating routine he has not a little time left to do anything else. When he went to win Mr Olympia title he weighted 255 lbs. Sergio then wins 3 title in a row that is of 1967,1968 which was uncontested win for him and 1969 where he beats Arnold Schwarzenegger. In 1977's autobiography Arnold praise him very much, he said that by seeing Sergio now I know the reason why he called The Myth. Sergio was so big and fantastic that I never think in my mind of beating him. Arnold also said that I never admitted defeat to anyone but in case of Sergio I admit my defeat. These are the few lines by the greatest for the greatest.

However Arnold beats him in 1970. In 1971 Mr Olympia Sergio was not allowed to participate in the contest due to some dirty politics thus the contest was held not a fair one in the eye of a fan because he is the only one at that time to challenge Arnold for the title. But in 1972 he is back to challenge Arnold to prove that he is the best. In 1972 Sergio was in the best shape of his life but again Weider switched the judges at the last moment and  Arnold become Mr Olympia. This was the most controversial Mr Olympia in the history.  

2008 MR OLYMPIA THE BLADE

Dexter Jackson

About Dexter Jackson

Dexter Jackson also known as 'The Blade' is an American IFFB professional bodybuilder. He participated in many competitions and the biggest win in his career was the win in 2008 where he beats Jay Cutler for the title and wins his first ever Mr Olympia competition. His first competition was the NPC Southern States Championships in 1992. In that competition he ranked number 3. In 2007 Mr Olympia competition he was at 3rd spot and every body was saying that it was his original position and not go further up from here but in 2008 he shocked every body when he won the Mr Olympia title by beating Jay Cutler. He became only the 12th man to win the title in the history of bodybuilding. 2008 was a great year for Dexter Jackson. He won many competition including:

• Australian Pro Grand Prix VIII
• New Zealand Grand Prix
• Russian Grand Prix
• Mr Olympia

In all the above mentioned competition he secured the first position but in 2009 Mr Olympia he drop down to 3rd place. Dexter is only the 2nd person to win the both Mr Olympia and Masters Olympia title along with Chris Dickerson. Dexter has made a record of wining Arnold classic 5 times more than anyone else in year 2005, 2006, 2013 and 2015. In 2015 Mr Olympia competition he placed 2nd in the absence of Kai Greene. He aged 45 in this year competition which is pretty high for a bodybuilder to compete but still he is in good shape.

By seeing the picture above one can easily say that Jay has more size and muscle maturity as compare to Dexter. And because of this many of you think that 2008 Mr Olympia was not a fair one. The controversy starts from the video of Jay where he said that Dexter did not win the title in 2008, I hand it over to him.

Ronnie Coleman

One of the greatest of all time in the sport of bodybuilding is known as the king Ronnie Coleman. He holds the title total of 8 times more than even the greatest Arnold, who won 7 times, and equal the record of Lee Haney of most wins in the Mr Olympia competition. During the competition Ronnie achieved the weight of 300 pounds (140 kg) and weighted 340 pounds (150 kg) in off season. He begun his career in 1992 with IFFB World Amateur Championship. He won his first ever professional title in 1995 which was the Canada Pro Cup. Further on he won 8 consecutive title of Mr Olympia from the year of 1998 to 2005. One of his best and great competitor was Jay Cutler who beats him in 2006 Mr Olympia. Ronnie retires from professional bodybuilding in 2007.

Larry Scott was a professional bodybuilder also known as The Legend and The Golden Boy. He was the first man in the history of bodybuilding who won the first ever Mr Olympia competition which was held in New York City on 18th September, 1965. After his his first win on the first short on the title he again become the Mr Olympia in 1966. And after winning consecutively he then retires. At the age of 16 he began his training and at 20 years old he starts winning competition. Scott had also the title Mr America (1962) and Mr Universe (1964) in his pocket. At the start of the training Scott's weak point is his narrow shoulder for which he started training with Vince Gironda who back then invented the 'Preacher Curl' this is the exercise which use to develop big and long biceps which is also very popular now a days. This exercise helps Scott very much and he was started knowing for his big and long biceps until now. Some of the bodybuilders named the Preacher Curl exercise as the Scott Curl. 

Before 1960 Scott was the model and done poses for the photographer named as Bruce of Los Angeles but after 1960 until the retirement of Scott, he become the most popular star among the bodybuilding world. Phil Heath is a professional bodybuilder and current Mr Olympia. He was born in Washington. He in 2002 entered in the bodybuilding as the professional athlete. He won his first title in 2005 which is National Physique Committee (NPC) USA championships. He in 2008 first time competed in the Mr Olympia competition where he placed 3rd which is very impressive for a new comer. And because of his awesome first appearance he become the favorite to win the title in 2009. But what you plan for future is not go well every time and due to stomach virus he lost his weight and takes 5th placed in the 2009 Mr Olympia. In 2010 he come back strongly and taking the 2nd place in the competition which was the last win for the great Jay Cutler. In 2011 the runner up of 2010 competition beats the champion of that year and Phil wins the first ever Mr Olympia title beating Jay in 2011. From 2011 to 2015 the Phil won the all 5 competition and made a record of winning 5 title in a row after Lee Haney and Ronnie Coleman. The 5 times Mr Olympia is still in good shape and getting ready for the next year. 

Though the win of 2015 was not a clean one because of the involvement of politics as his one of the biggest rival Kai Greene did not take participate in this year event. According to Kai he was not allow to participate in the event because of the backstage politics but the management said that Kai did not sign the contract because of the reason only known to Kai. Dexter Jackson placed 2nd in the event. The former Mr Olympia was not in a shape to come above Shawn Rhoden who was third in 2014 Mr Olympia. Some people think that the purpose to give Dexter the 2nd place is just to make Phil look bigger but the truth is only known to him. For the fans this year's competition is a disappointment because the challenger Kai who is right now in the best shape of his life was not the part of 2015 Mr Olympia to challenge the champ Phil Heath.

After that many people argue with Phil on tweeter and he block them one by one. And now his rival Kai have more followers then him.

The name Jay Cutler is not unknown to us. From the age of 11 he worked with his brother in the concrete construction business. He began his training at the age of 18 at Wachusett Regional High School. His first competition was the 1992 Gold's Gym Worcester Bodybuilding Championships and ranked 2nd in that event. He is the 4 times Mr Olympia beating the great Ronnie Coleman in the 2006 Mr Olympia competition. He had at that time 58" of chest, 34" of waist, 19.5" of neck, 22.5" of arms and 33" of thighs. He won the title in 2006, 2007, 2009 and 2010. In 2008 he is beaten by Dexter Jackson and that was the only title Dexter holds until now. After losing against Dexter Jay work harder, according to him he workout as much as were he exercise in the days while he faced Ronnie. So working hard and eating large gives the key of success back to jay and he regain his title in 2009 and won it again in the next year. He is only the third person along with Arnold Schwarzenegger and Franco Columbu to win the title in non-consecutive year. He is very popular among the other bodybuilders because of his videos. He made many videos on workout of different body parts, video about the life of Jay Cutler in which you can see the life style of him that how he live, shopping, eat and train.
