About Franco
Franco Columbu is a well known professional bodybuilder born in Italy. He started his career with boxing. Later on he done power lifting, weightlifting and then bodybuilding. He done so much for the sport. He was training partner and a good friend of Arnold. He was also the best man at Arnold's wedding. In the bodybuilding career his best win was 1976 and 1981 Mr Olympia. Franco with a height of 5.35 ft is a very short bodybuilder than the most of athlete. Franco also known as 'Sardinian Strongman' was also done some acting and production in the entertainment business. He is best known in entertainment business for:
- Terminator (1984)
- Conan The Barbarian (1982)
- The Running Man (1987)
He participated in the very first world strongest man competition where he dislocated his knee. At that time the scene of his knee dislocation was not edited and shown fully. He was told that his knee is broken but he said while laying on stretcher that it is only dislocated. He also trained Sylvester Stallone for the movie Rambo: First Blood Part II. He also made a world record of blowing hot water bottle by just blowing in it. He is also in Hall of Fame of international sport (2013).
